Ubiquiti Ultra USW-Ultra (42W) is a compact, high-performance Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet PoE switch designed for small deployments or edge locations requiring flexible and reliable power and network connectivity. The device features eight RJ45 ports — seven delivering PoE/PoE+ output and one dedicated PoE++ input port — enabling up to 42W of total PoE availability when powered via PoE++ input.

This switch supports versatile mounting options including desktop, wall, and magnetic mounts, encased in a durable polycarbonate enclosure measuring 203 x 76 x 33 mm and weighing approximately 320 grams.

It offers robust Layer 2 switching features such as STP/RSTP, port isolation, port mirroring, storm control, flow control, jumbo frames, multicast/broadcast rate limiting, and egress rate limiting. With a switching capacity of 16 Gbps, non-blocking throughput of 8 Gbps, and forwarding rate of 12 Mpps, the Ultra switch provides reliable and smooth network performance.

Power options are flexible with support for PoE++ input (50–57V DC), PoE+ input, or optional 60W or 210W AC adapters to scale PoE output based on deployment needs. Operating temperature varies depending on power input method, with PoE++ input supporting a range of -30°C to 60°C.

Management is performed via in-band Ethernet and is compatible with UniFi Network software (version 8.0.28 or later), ensuring seamless integration with Ubiquiti’s ecosystem. The device carries multiple certifications including CE, FCC, IC, and is NDAA compliant.
