The Alloy MGBIC-MLC is a high-performance 1000Base-SX multimode fibre SFP module designed for seamless installation in gigabit SFP slots of compatible switches. Delivering reliable data transmission up to 1.25 Gb/s bi-directionally, it uses an 850 nm VCSEL laser coupled with a PIN photodetector for efficient signal transmission.
This module supports multimode fibre cables with transmission distances reaching up to 550 metres using 50/125 µm MMF and 220 metres using 62.5/125 µm MMF, making it ideal for medium range network connectivity.
Designed with a universal duplex LC receptacle, the MGBIC-MLC complies fully with SFP MSA and SFF-8472 standards, known for hot-swappable operation which allows easy module upgrades and maintenance without powering down switching equipment. Its compact form factor and low power consumption (+3.3 V supply) make it perfect for modern networking environments.
